Gov Yusuf visits Shettima, congratulates him on emergence as Tinubu’s running mate

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his emergence as President Bola Tinubu’s running mate for the 2027 presidential election.
Mr Yusuf visited the vice president on Friday night at Aguda House in the Presidential Villa, where he congratulated him.
The visit was announced in a statement on Saturday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
Mr Yusuf described Mr Shettima’s emergence as recognition of his commitment and service to the nation.
Mr Yusuf also prayed for the success of Messrs Shettima and Tinubu as they prepare for the 2027 general election.
The Kano governor was accompanied by the member representing the Gwale Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Garba Diso; APC national ex officio, Muhammad Yusuf; and the Kano State Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Ahmad Auwalu.
He reaffirmed his support for efforts to promote unity, peace, and sustainable development across Nigeria.
