Governor Adeleke wins his polling unit with 421 votes

Counting of votes had begun across several other polling units in the state.

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Accord Party has won his polling unit with 256 votes.

Mr Adeleke defeated his closest opponent, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressive Congress who polled 22 at the unit while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate, Najeem Salaam got only one vote.

The results, announced by the Presiding Officer, Adebimpe Dunsin, showed that Adeleke, who is the candidate of the Accord Party, scored 421 votes.

The sheet, which was signed by the presiding officer, showed that only 457 voters cast their votes out of 1,082 registered voters.

Counting of votes had begun across several other polling units in the state as of press time.
