Governor Mutfwang commiserates with NAN over death of photojournalist

The deceased, who died on Tuesday after a brief illness, had served in the agency’s Jos zonal office for 15 years until his death and was set to retire by September 2026.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang has commiserated with the News Agency of Nigeria over the death of its photojournalist, Sunday Adah.

Mr Mutfwang, in a condolence message on Monday, described Mr Adah as a consummate professional.

The deceased, who died on Tuesday after a brief illness, had served in the agency’s Jos zonal office for 15 years until his death and was set to retire by September 2026.

While commiserating with NAN and the deceased’s family, the governor also described Mr Adah as a professional who took his job seriously.

“Adah was a highly dedicated media professional whose work played a vital role in informing the public and strengthening democratic governance through responsible and ethical journalism. He carries out his duty with exceptional diligence, courage, and professionalism in his assignment with NAN.

“The late photojournalist’s lens told powerful stories that preserved history and projected the realities of society with clarity, balance, and integrity, leaving behind a rich visual archive that will continue to inspire generations of journalists.

“He has covered the state and beyond, capturing defining moments in the life of Plateau and the nation at large,” the Plateau governor stated.

Mr Mutfwang noted that Mr Adah’s commitment and contributions to the growth and credibility of the media profession cannot be forgotten.
