Governor Ododo’s father dies at 83

The Kogi government has announced the demise of Ahmed Momohsani Ododo, father of Governor Ahmed Ododo.
The Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo, confirmed the development in a statement on Monday in Lokoja.
He said the 83-year-old patriarch passed away a few hours before the announcement.
“Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un,” said the statement while announcing the death of the governor’s father.
He stated that the funeral would be conducted and the deceased laid to rest in line with Islamic rites.
“We pray to Allah (SWT) to forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus,” he added.
Mr Fanwo further asked God to strengthen the governor, his family, and the entire Ododo household to bear the loss with fortitude.
