Governor Yusuf asks Kano Muslims to promote peace
Governor Abba Yusuf, on Wednesday, felicitated the Muslim faithful and all Nigerians on the occasion of the 2024 Eid-el-Fitr.
This was conveyed in a statement by his media aide, Sunusi Bature.
Mr Yusuf underscored the significance of upholding the virtues of compassion, generosity, discipline, patriotism, and harmonious coexistence.
“As Ramadan draws to a close and the Shawwal Crescent is sighted, the principles of compassion, generosity, discipline, patriotism, and peaceful coexistence it instilled should be embraced by all,” he said.
He urged residents of Kano state to pray for divine guidance for leadership across all echelons.
Mr Yusuf pledged that his administration would initiate policy frameworks for peaceful cohabitation and unity.
“Promising days await the populace of Kano as the imminent administration under my stewardship will cultivate a propitious policy milieu for all to reside in peace,” he said.
The governor implored residents to uphold patriotism and a spirit of tranquillity while entreating peace and prosperity in Kano and other parts of the country.
He also advised against reckless driving and other unbridled Eid festivities to ensure the safety of all residents and visitors of Kano.
