Group partners Anambra, Enugu governments to address South-East’s educational needs
The 2024 South-East Educators Conference convener Doris Chinedu-Okoro says it will partner the Anambra and Enugu governments to address educational needs in the zone.
Addressing journalists on Thursday in Enugu, Ms Chinedu-Okoro said the conference would offer stakeholders an opportunity to pioneer positive changes in the region’s local education sector.
According to her, the event resulted from the necessity to reawaken and encourage innovative and technological teaching and learning among educators in the zone to meaningfully impact young people.
She added that the event would create a dynamic platform that would equip educators with the necessary tools and knowledge to make a lasting impact on the South-East educational landscape.
She stated that they were partnering the Anambra and Enugu governments as they were sponsoring the Heads of Schools and Principals in Primary and Secondary Schools to attend the programme.
“It’s more of a stakeholders conference on the high-level conversation to make things different and change education in the southeast by reflecting what we discussed at the conference in classrooms and equipping them with 21st-century skills.
“Participants will explore transformative practices, technology integration, community engagement, diverse perspectives, innovative ideas, fostering collaboration and networking among educators and stakeholders,” she stressed.
