Gunmen ambush Osun farmers, kidnap two

The police command in Osun has confirmed that gunmen kidnapped two farmers on Wednesday at Ileogbo Town in Aiyedire local council.
The spokeswoman for the command, SP Yemisi Opalola, said cops were on the kidnappers’ trail to rescue the abducted farmers.
She, however, said there was no report from the Gbongan police divisional officer (where the kidnap was reported) that the kidnappers had made any contact with their victims’ families or demanded ransom.
The two farmers, Samuel Oladotun and Fashola Tobiloba were kidnapped on Wednesday by gunmen at Ileogbo Town in Osun. The victims and seven others were returning from their farms in a bus when the gunmen ambushed them along the Oke Osun Area of Ileogbo.
Six farmers in the bus reportedly escaped, while three were captured and taken away by the attackers.
One of the three farmers later escaped while the kidnappers were moving them into a bush.
