The attack led to the killing of a vigilante operative and the setting ablaze of five operation vehicles and part of the group’s office.

The police public relations officer (PPRO), Tochukwu Ikenga, said this in a statement on Friday in Awka.

Mr Ikenga said that the incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, when the suspected armed men attacked the vigilante’s office at Umunze and set the vehicles on fire.
