Hajj 2026: Ogun sets January 28 deadline for payments, registration

The Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (OGMPWB) has announced that Wednesday, January 28, will be the deadline for payment of Hajj fares as well as completion of registration for the 2026 pilgrimage.

This is contained in a statement in Abeokuta on Wednesday by the board’s executive secretary, Ajibola Taiwo.

Mr Taiwo noted that the total Hajj fare was pegged at N7.9 million. 

He emphasised that the deadline remained final and would be strictly enforced.

Mr Taiwo disclosed that the registration process for the 2026 Hajj was currently ongoing and would also close on January 28.

He gave the breakdown of the registration processing fees as follows: application form, N20,050; screening form, N2,550; medical fitness certificate, N2,550; and medical screening, N20,050

He said that the total cost of registration / processing fee amounts to  N45,200.
The executive secretary urged all intending pilgrims to obtain, complete and submit their forms promptly to ensure timely processing.

He advised prospective pilgrims who required more clarification to visit the Board’s office at Block B, Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
