Hajj 2027: Kano pilgrims board fixes September 25 deadline

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has fixed September 25 as the deadline for payment of hajj deposits and completion of registration for the 2027 pilgrimage.
The director-general of the board, Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle, gave the warning in a statement by the board’s spokesman, Sulaiman Dederi, on Wednesday in Kano.
According to the statement, no seat will be allocated to intending pilgrims after the closing date, as the board had previously pegged the hajj deposit for the 2027 pilgrimage at N8 million.
“All intending pilgrims should complete their payments and registration before the deadline to secure their places for pilgrimage,” he said.
He added that the board has taken measures to ensure effective planning and coordination of the 2027 hajj.
The director-general reaffirmed the board’s commitment to conduct a smooth, transparent and hitch-free hajj operation.
He advised prospective pilgrims to comply with all registration requirements within the stipulated period to avoid losing the opportunity to perform the pilgrimage.
