The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has directed all registered intending pilgrims for the 2027 hajj to submit their valid passports on or before August 7 to facilitate travel documents.

The director-general of the board, Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle, gave the directive in a statement signed by the board’s spokesman, Suleiman Dederi, on Tuesday.

“The submission commenced on August 3 to enable the board to begin documentation and other administrative processes required for the 2027 Hajj exercise.

‎”Early submission of passports is necessary to ensure timely processing of travel documents and compliance with the deadline set by relevant authorities,” Mr Ibrahim-Matawalle said.

He urged all registered intending pilgrims to submit their passports within the stipulated period to avoid delays in processing their hajj documentation.

The director-general reaffirmed the board’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and hitch-free hajj operation. He appealed to pilgrims to cooperate with the board throughout the preparation process.
