Hajj: Gov. Yusuf appoints 43 interim centre officers
Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has approved the appointment of 43 interim pilgrim centre officers for the local government areas in the state.
This is contained in a statement issued by his press secretary, Mr Bature Dawin-Tofa, on Saturday in Kano.
Mr Yusuf said that the appointees were expected to take over the responsibility of Hajj affairs of their respective LGAs with immediate effect to ensure success of the 2023 Hajj operation.
Subsequently, the newly appointed centre officers are directed to report to the Director General Kano State Pilgrim Welfare Board on Sunday for an emergency meeting at the Board’s Headquarters.
The new officers include Sani Abdullahi, Ajingi LGA; Mannir Bashir Bataiya, Albasu LGA; Bello M. Abdullahi, Bagwai LGA and Sagir Umar Bebeji, Bichi LGA.
Other appointees are Abdu Inusa Zawaciki, Kumbotso, Shehu Maitama Kwankwaso Madobi, and Aminu Tsoho Rogo, Rogo.
Also including Yusuf SuaimanTudun Wada, Garba Surajo Zaura, Ungogo, Umar Aliyu GodaShanono, Abdullahi Muhammad ZangiTakai, Nazifi TijjaniMinjibir and Musa Abdullahi Shamakawa Kunchi LGA.
Mr Yusuf said that the appointment of the officers for Kibiya LGA would be made public.
