Heirs Insurance launches travel festival to promote cross-border tourism

Heirs Insurance Group has announced the launch of the Heirs Insurance Travel Festival, scheduled for November 29 in Lagos.
Ifesinachi Okpagu, chief marketing officer of HIG, said in a statement on Sunday that the one-day event would promote an inclusive travel ecosystem across Africa.
She noted that the festival would gather thousands of attendees, including travel stakeholders, embassy officials, tourism content creators, and travel enthusiasts across the tourism value chain.
Ms Okpagu said the event would be a first-of-its-kind immersive celebration of cross-border tourism and cultural exchange. She revealed that the event would feature high-level diplomatic dialogues and fireside chats with renowned African travel creators.
Ms Okpagu explained that the festival aimed to foster stronger relationships and promote global tourism for a more connected world. She highlighted the uniqueness of the event and the importance of insurance in enabling meaningful international collaborations.
“Travel is about discovery, exposure, and connection. The world is connected, yet border restrictions make exploration increasingly difficult.
“Heirs Insurance Group is creating a platform to address these challenges, as insurance plays a vital role in enabling safe and seamless travel.
“Through the Heirs Insurance Travel Festival, we are championing a borderless world and encouraging meaningful conversations that promote responsible, inclusive travel,” she said.
Ms Okpagu assured guests of an unforgettable experience featuring immersive games, live performances, thought-provoking panel sessions, cultural showcases, vibrant music, and a curated marketplace.
She added that the marketplace would feature diverse vendors offering food, lifestyle, tourism, and entertainment products for all attendees.
