Hotel surveillance camera captures Diddy brutalising ex-girlfriend Cassie

A 2016 surveillance video obtained exclusively by CNN showed rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassandra Ventura, known as Cassie, during an altercation between the then couple in March 2016.
The altercation matched allegations made in a federal lawsuit Cassie filed and later settled in November 2023.
Cassie had filed a lawsuit in the Federal District Court in November 2023, accusing Diddy of subjecting her to years of abuse.
The suit alleged that from shortly after they met in 2005 until 2018, Diddy plied her with drugs and alcohol, forced her to have sex with male prostitutes while physically and sexually assaulting her.
The video, recorded on March 5, 2016, as dated, seemed to capture the rapper, involved in an altercation that Cassie’s complaint said happened at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, which has since closed.
In the video, Cassie exited a hotel room and walked toward the elevators while Combs, wrapped in a towel, ran after her and grabbed her by the neck then threw her to the ground still holding his towel with one hand and proceeded to kick her.
As Cassie stayed on the floor, Combs picked up a purse and suitcase from near the elevators which are suspected to be hers and kicked her again while trying to drag her back into the room.
Cassie stood slowly from the ground, her movements deliberate as she gathered scattered belongings strewn across the hallway floor.
She reached for a phone mounted on the wall near the elevators, meanwhile, Combs, still draped in a towel and wearing socks, reappeared.
The mirrored reflection opposite the security camera captured the harrowing sight of him forcefully shoving her to a corner.
Seated on a nearby chair, Combs’ grips tightened as he raised an object he plucked hastily from a nearby table with which he violently threw at Cassie.
According to CNN, Cassie declined to comment on the video obtained, however her attorney Douglas H. Wigdor, said, “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behaviour of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”
Combs has not said anything concerning the video as well as the other allegations he has been facing aside from his team denying the allegations.
