Ibadan man arrested for stealing iPhone

David Chiahemba, 26, who allegedly stole an iPhone valued at N190,000, was brought before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan on Monday.
Mr Chiahemba, whose address was not provided, was arraigned for stealing but pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against him.
The prosecutor, Femi Omilana, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on November 27, at 8.00 p.m., in the Eleyele area of Ibadan.
Mr Omilana said the defendant stole one iPhone worth NN190,000, which is the property of Olusola Olatubosun.
He said the offence contravened Section 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The magistrate, Gladys Oladele, granted the defendant bail of N50,000 and one reliable surety in like sum.
Afterr that,she adjourned the case until January 28, 2025, for a hearing.
