Ibadan man pleads guilty of stealing spaghetti, milk, soap, other items worth N750,000

A 30-year-old Niyi Adeyemo, on Wednesday, pleaded guilty to shop breaking and stealing at an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Adeyemo was charged with conspiracy, shop breaking and stealing, to which he pleaded guilty.
The Magistrate, Oluwaferanmi Raji, therefore adjourned the case until July 20 for review of facts and judgement subsequently.
The Prosecutor, Inspector Elisha Tellang, said the defendant committed the offences on June 28, at about 2.00 a.m, at the Egbeda area of Ibadan.
He said that the defendant and others at large broke into the shop of the complainant, Gafari Ogunjide.
The prosecutor alleged that the defendant stole cartons of spaghetti, milk, litres of oil, soap, semovita and other items belonging to Ogunjide and worth N750, 000.
Mr Tellang added that Adeyemo also broke into the shop of one Olayemi Afolabi and stole two fouls Worth N50,000 and a wheelbarrow worth N200,000.
He said the offences contravened provisions of Sections 516, 413 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
