‘I’m enjoying my time in France,’ Tinubu tells Macron

President Bola Tinubu, who left Nigeria for Europe on a working vacation on September 4, has told French President Emmanuel Macron that he is enjoying his stay in France.
Mr Tinubu spoke about his vacation experience when he met Mr Macron and responded affirmatively when asked if he was enjoying his stay in the Western European country.
“Are you enjoying your time in France?” Mr Macron asked. In response, Mr Tinubu said, “Oh yes,” with a smile in a video circulated by his media aide, Dada Olusegun.
“President Tinubu’s working visit to President Macron of France, where matters of mutual interests were discussed,” Mr Dada captioned the video shared on X on Friday.
Meanwhile, days ago, former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi faulted Mr Tinubu’s frequent foreign trips amid the country’s insecurity and economic hardship.
In a statement on September 5, Mr Obi said, “It does look like Mr President is running away from Nigeria at every slight opportunity. And one would wonder why so much of his two years in office has been spent on holidays or away from the very country he was elected to preside over.”
