I’m not their fan, happy Harry, Meghan returned to UK: Trump
U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday said he is “happy” that Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, returned to the United Kingdom from the United States of America.
“I’m happy about it,” Mr Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Wednesday, when asked how he felt about the relocation of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex back to Britain.
The American president said “I was not a fan” of Mr Harry and his wife, adding “I had a very good relationship with the queen, really good. I got to know her very well. A really good relationship with King Charles – I knew him as Prince Charles and King Charles. I’ve known him for a long time.”
Describing King Charles as a “great, great guy,” Mr Trump said “I thought they treated the royal family with great disrespect. I didn’t like it.
“If I were the royal family, I would not have taken them back,” Mr Trump said.
Mr Harry and his wife returned to the UK last week.
The couple lived in California, U.S. since 2020.
