In GOTW, Burna says “Wizkid’s about bitches”, TAMPAN suspends Yomi Fabiyi, Bia gets premium drag

Burna Boy recently threw what seemed like a subtle jab at Wizkid in his recent interview when it was suggested that the duo might be in a competition following their soaring impact with Afrobeat lately and of course their latest Grammy win.
“We are in two very different lanes in life, the only similarities really is the fact that we are from the same place and we love each other.
“That’s what brings us together because of where we are from and the love we have for each other. Other than that, we are two different lanes.
“Wiz is all about the bitches, me, I’m about real life and the bitches,” Burna Boy responded.
Unlike Burna’s flawed relationship with Davido, the Odogwu, as he refers to himself, before now has always publicly declared his love and loyalty to Wizkid.
His response nonetheless came as a shock to a lot of fans who considered it extremely offensive and thereafter profusely dragged him online.
The Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) has suspended Yoruba actor Yomi Fabiyi indefinitely following the release of his controversial movie “Oko Iyabo”.
Peoples Gazette recently reported that the actor was summoned by the association over his controversial movie that biasedly replicates the ongoing Baba Ijesha’s alleged rape case.
The association posted a press release on their official Instagram page on July 9, informing the public Mr Fabiyi has been suspended indefinitely after he was found guilty for misconduct and poorly representing the TAMPAN association.
During the week, upcoming American rapper Bianca Landrau aka Bia became a media sensation after she publicly declared she does not know top Afrobeat trio Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy.
In an Instagram live video with Nicki Minaj to promote their new collaboration “whole lotta money”, the newly born American rapper was asked to pick who she fancied enough for a relationship between the trio Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy when she made the shocking revelation.
“I don’t know what they all look like,” Bia said.
Bia’s response exposed her to a merciless Twitter drag by defensive Nigerians and fans of the trio.
Unable to take the unbearable online wrath from angry fans, the American rapper proceeded to apologise and clarify her response.
I said I don’t know what they all look like doesn’t mean I don’t know their music. I didn’t mean to offend anyone #LOVE,” she tweeted using the Nigerian flag emoji.
However, still offended by the rapper’s initial response, Burna Boy revealed Bia has been in his direct message (DM) since 2018 despite claiming not to know him.
“That babe wey nor know our face don dey my dms since 2018 o 😂🤣 🤣,” Burna Boy shadingly tweeted.
Davido attended a candlelight service held in honour of his late close associate Obama DMW who recently passed away.
The event was held on July 9, in Lagos.
The artist arrived all dressed in black alongside other 30 billion gang members appearing down in spirit as they shed tears over the unfortunate demise of the deceased.
Obama DMW passed away shortly after he drove himself to Ever Care Hospital in Lekki to complain of breathing difficulties on June 29, 2021.
Davido posted a heavy-hearted tribute to his dear friend a few days ago.
