INEC begins upload of Osun governorship election results on IReV

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun uploading results of 3763 polling units on its Result Viewing Portal (IReV) on Saturday.
The commission has uploaded results of 849 polling as of 4:43 p.m. which represents 22.56 per cent completion rate in the ongoing Osun State Governorship election across the 30 Local Government Areas of the state.
Peoples Gazette observed that the uploaded results showed several government areas including Ile Oso Aro area, Ile Oso, Aro, Ode Omu, Osolo Square Osolo, Square II, Near maternity, Baptist Pry, School, Oke Ejigbo I, Iya Dudu compound, Ejemu village, L.Schoolfadaka, Hla elementary school, Owu Ile Road, Ife-Oda and several others are being uploaded
The exercise has 15 political parties with Governor Ademola Adeleke of Accord Party seeking to return as second term.
Mr Adeleke’s opponents are Bola Oyebamiji of All Progressives Congress, Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress, Farinloye Olarenwaju, Action Alliance, Esan Olajide, African Action Congress, Adeagbo Opawoye, African Democratic Party, Ogunsakin Olalekan of the Young Progressives Party , Adefemi Adesuyi of the Zenith Labour Party.
Others include, Mustapha Adeniyi of the Social Democratic Party, Adesina Aseyemi-Doro of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Adewale Adebayo of the Allied People Movement, Clement Adesuyi of the Action Peoples Party, Masilo Adeleke of the Boot Party, Taofeek Adeleke of the New Nigeria Peoples Party and Saliu Oyelami of the Peoples Redemption Party
Other results are still being uploaded to the portal as collation and transmission continue across the state.
