The Independent National Electoral Commission says it has begun displaying the preliminary register of voters across the 20 LGAs of Bauchi.

This was disclosed in a statement on Thursday by Aliyu Hassan-Shaba, head, voter education and publicity. He said the exercise would be conducted from April 29 to May 5 in all the local government areas of the state.

Mr Hassan-Shaba said the exercise would avail citizens opportunities to verify details of their information to correct detected errors.

The exercise, he said, would also enable citizens to object to the removal of deceased persons, aliens and underage persons from the register.

The INEC official urged those registered during the second phase of the exercise to report inaccuracies to enhance the integrity of the national register.
