The Independent National Electoral Commission has officially recognised the faction of the Peoples Democratic Party’s national working committee members led by FCT minister Nyesom Wike following its national convention on Sunday.

Checks by Peoples Gazette on Monday showed the names of Abdulrahman Mohammed as National Chairman and Senator Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary officially recognised on the INEC website.

Other members of the party’s NWC on the website include the treasurer, Ahmed Yayari Mohammed; financial secretary, Daniel Woyengikuro; and national legal adviser, Kamaldeen Adeyemi Ajibade.

Meanwhile, Mr Wike had called on Governors Bala Mohammed, Seyi Makinde, and other disgruntled members to work with him to rebuild the opposition party.
