Inter Milan beat Lazio 2-0 to claim Coppa Italia title

Inter Milan beat Lazio 2-0 to secure a domestic double, clinching the Coppa Italia.
The clash between both sides was held on Wednesday, with the Nerazzurri emerging as the victors, moving past Lazio with a 2-0 win.
Inter broke the deadlock with just 14 minutes gone on the clock, with Marcus Thuram scoring from an effort created by Federico Dimarco to give Inter the opening goal of the cup final.
Lautaro Martinez extended the lead for Inter as Denzel Dumfries stepped up to deliver a low cross into the six-yard box, making it 2-0 for the Serie A champions.
In the second half, Lazio slightly improved and created several opportunities, but they were well stopped by Josep Martinez, with the Nerazzurri remaining calm and comfortably in control.
The victory secured Inter’s 10th Coppa Italia title in the club’s history.
Inter Milan already secured the 21st Scudetto earlier this month, with Cristian Chivu winning the title as a player and as a manager in his debut season.
Chivu’s team has now completed a dominant domestic campaign, winning both the league title and the Coppa Italia.
They concluded their league season against Hellas Verona with little left to fight for, having already secured European football.
