Ex-Niger Delta militant Asari Dokubo has railed against President Donald Trump over his threat to invade Nigeria to kill off rampaging bandits and terrorists.

Mr Dokubo, who identified as “a Muslim in the oasis of non-Muslims” in a viral video online, vowed to fight Mr Trump and his soldiers should they invade Nigeria.

An aide of Mr Dokubo confirmed the authenticity of the video to Peoples Gazette but said the ex-Niger Delta warlord is currently out of the country.

Dismissing claims of Christian genocide in Nigeria, Mr Dokubo said, “Everybody knows that people are being killed left, right, and centre, this is not a lie.

“But is it Muslim or Christian? Let them not say Christians are being killed. More Muslims have died than Christians. A group of evil people is killing people.”

The ex-Niger Delta warlord said, “I’m a Muslim who is in the oasis of non-Muslims. Let them come; let America come. We don’t just talk, we perform. I plan to fight America. When the time comes, whether they will leave here. Let them come; let Trump come with his America, you will all die.”

He added, “I want to assure you, if you come to Nigeria, you all will die here; it will be your graveyard. Nigeria will be your graveyard.”

Berating the American president over his altercation with other leaders around the world, Mr Dokubo said, “Maybe Trump is the coronal for the fall of the American empire.”

Mr Dokubo’s outburst comes against the backdrop of Mr Trump’s declaration of Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern and threat to invade Nigeria to destroy terrorists.

However, Mr Tinubu, who had repeatedly denied the genocide in Nigeria, said he is ready to work with American authorities.

Bayo Onanuga, presidential spokesperson, in a statement on X on Sunday, also said Mr Tinubu is well ahead in an orchestrated game of the American government.
