Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have arrived in Nigeria for a three-day visit to promote the Invictus Games and interact with injured soldiers and their families.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex took an overnight flight on British Airways and arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport before 5:00 a.m. on Friday, where some Nigerian officials welcomed them.

Prince Harry’s visit was planned after he met with defence chief Christopher Musa and the Nigerian team during a tournament in Dusseldorf, Germany, last year.

Meanwhile, during their stay in Nigeria, the couple will visit a school before meeting with injured soldiers at a military hospital.

They will also attend a training session for Nigeria: Unconquered, a charity that works with the Invictus Games, and a reception where military families will be honoured.

The following day, they will attend a training session for the organisation and a reception hosted by the defence chief in honour of military families.

Meghan will co-host an event later Saturday afternoon with WTO boss Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.

The couple will attend a Sunday basketball clinic with Giants of Africa, a cultural reception, and a polo fundraiser for the charity.
