Iran vows earth-shattering reprisals if U.S. renews attacks

Iran has warned of earth-shattering blow if the United States renews attacks on the country.
The warning followed Germany chancellor Friedrich Merz’s complaints over soaring energy prices as a result of the war.
Mr Merz said more than €100 billion extra had been paid by businesses and consumers in Europe because energy had become more expensive as a result of the U.S.-Iran conflict.
However, Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi, in a statement on Saturday, noted than Iran would deal with any country trying to harm its people.
“100bn Euro is nothing compared to the rarth-shattering blow Iran’s Powerful Armed Forces will deal against those who dare harm our people. Red lines are a thing of the past,” Mr Araghchi said.
Iranian army spokesperson Mohammad Akraminia also warned the U.S. against launching another military adventure in the region, saying any new aggression would expand the geographical scope of the war.
“Given the American president’s dark history of betraying diplomacy, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s army, distrustful and indifferent to the enemy’s actions, is relentlessly enhancing its combat readiness.
We are closely monitoring America’s movements in the region.
“If the President of the United States once again embarks on another reckless adventure in the region by threatening and cajoling the Zionists, there is no doubt that the fire of war will engulf a broader geographical expanse, and the end of the war will not be in his hands,” Mr Akraminia said.
The development came as Iran said four tankers attempting to use “unauthorised routes” to cross the Strait of Hormuz were halted.
Iran, which repeatedly warned vessels against passing through the strait without Tehran’s permission, claimed responsibility for attacks on ships attempting to transit the route amid hostilities with the U.S.
