Israeli Air Force says over 100 Hezbollah targets hit in 24 hours

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) struck more than 100 Hezbollah positions in Lebanon over a day, the country’s military has said.
“Over the past day, the IAF struck over 100 Hezbollah terror targets and eliminated dozens of Hezbollah terrorists throughout Lebanon,’’ it said in a Telegram post on Wednesday.
At the same time, ground troops continued “limited localised, targeted raids against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.
“The troops located large quantities of weapons, dismantled tunnel shafts, eliminated terrorists and destroyed Hezbollah launchers embedded in civilian areas and aimed at Israeli communities.
“In one incident, the troops identified a terror cell that was then struck by the IAF,’’ the military added.
The military’s statements could not be independently verified.
According to Lebanese reports, several civilians were killed in Israel’s attacks.
The Israeli army also continued its operation in the north of the Gaza Strip.
“Over the past day, the troops eliminated dozens of terrorists during aerial strikes and in close-quarters encounters in the Jabalia refugee camp area, the post continued.
“In southern and central Gaza, the troops continue operational activity against terrorist infrastructure and operatives in the area,” it added.
The Israeli military’s statements on its actions in the Gaza Strip could not be independently verified either.
