A woman and her two children were killed on Wednesday when Israeli air strikes targeted a village in southern Lebanon, civil defence rescue teams and Hezbollah’s press office said.

The woman and her children were killed in the village of Sawaneh, the rescue teams said.

The Hezbollah-run Al-Manar television reported that the attacks also killed one person in the southern town of Adsheet.

Lebanese security sources said at least seven people were also injured there.

Videos shared on social media showed massive damage in Adsheet as a result of the Israeli air strikes.

The Israeli army said earlier it began an “extensive’’ wave of attacks on Lebanese territories after rockets fired from Lebanon hit the city of Safed in northern Israel.
