Israeli envoy accuses Iran of sponsoring terrorism in Nigeria, other nations

Israeli ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman, has accused the Iranian government of sponsoring terrorism in Nigeria and other parts of the world.
Mr Freeman made this claim during an interview with Arise TV on Friday, amid U.S. and Israel’s attacks on Iran over alleged nuclear weapons.
He said, “We know there are certain movements, for example, the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, that is sponsored and backed by the Iranian regime.”
He stated that aside Iran sponsoring terrorism against Isreal, Nigeria was at the receiving end of terrorism sponsored by the the Iranian government across the globe.
“Nigeria has been on the receiving end of terrorism from Iran. Iran sponsors all the major terror organisations: Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and groups in Iraq,” Mr Freeman said.
He added, “We have seen Iran carry out terror bombings in Argentina and Bulgaria. Less than two months ago, millions of Iranians protested against the regime, and the regime’s response was to gun them down. Between 30,000 and 70,000 Iranians were shot dead This is an illegitimate government.”
However, Iran’s ambassador to Nigeria, Gholamreza Mahdavi Raja, denied the claim during an interview with the Vanguard.
“Such allegations are entirely unfounded and form part of a propaganda campaign by a regime that has a long record of violence and violations of international law,” Mr Raja said.
