“It was me,” suspected shooter confesses to Charlie Kirk shooting in group chat

Tyler Robinson, the suspected shooter of Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist who was shot dead at Utah Valley University last Wednesday, confessed in a Discord group chat that he carried out the attack.
The 22-year-old Utah resident admitted to the shooting in a group chat with his friends, The Washington Post reported on Monday, citing two people familiar with the chat.
“Hey guys, I have bad news for you all. It was me at UVU yesterday. I’m sorry for all of this,” a message from Mr Robinson reads, per the Washington Post.
According to the newspaper, the message was sent from Mr Robinson’s account to a group of online friends on Thursday night, before he was taken into custody.
The suspect was arrested after a 33-hour coordinated manhunt by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and other security agencies.
Mr Kirk, 31, who was famous for debating socio-political issues across campuses in the United States, died shortly after being shot in the neck on Wednesday
