Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin has awarded full scholarships worth ₦800 million to 1,000 students in Kano.

Speaking at the launch of the scholarship programme at Bayero University in Kano on Saturday, Mr Jibrin said it is aimed at addressing educational financial challenges faced by youths and providing them with access to quality education.

Mr Jibrin, represented by Senator Sumaila Kawu, emphasised that education is his top priority, adding that the initiative reflects his commitment to securing Nigeria’s future through educated and empowered young people.

He urged the beneficiaries to seize the opportunity and reminded them that the scholarship is not just financial assistance but a call to service and excellence.
