Jigawa health agency distributes ICE kits for measles-rubella vaccination

Jigawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency has distributed information, education, and communication materials to facilitate the smooth conduct of the measles-rubella vaccination campaign.
Sani Yusuf-Kachi, the health educator, said this on Thursday while distributing the items to the 27 LGAs.
He said the gesture would enhance social mobilisation to promote participation in the upcoming MR vaccination campaign, billed to take place from October 4 to 13.
Mr Yusuf-Kachi said the MR vaccination targeted children aged nine months to 14 years, while children from 0 to 5 years would benefit from other integrated interventions.
He urged parents to present their children for vaccination to protect them against the diseases.
Shehu Sambo, the executive secretary of the agency, lauded the Jigawa government and partners for their support in strengthening healthcare service delivery and immunisation.
“Our goal is to ensure that no eligible child in Jigawa is left out during this campaign, and with the support of government and partners, we are confident of its success,” he said.
