Jigawa pilgrims board fixes January 30 registration deadline for 2025 Hajj

The Jigawa Pilgrims Welfare Board has fixed January 30 as the registration deadline for all intending pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj exercise.
The board’s director-general, Ahmad Umar, said this in a statement on Tuesday in Dutse by the board spokesman, Habibu Yusuf.
Mr Umar said the new deadline resulted from an adjustment by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria that directed state pilgrims welfare boards to remit all collections by the first of February.
He said the board had exhausted over 40 per cent of its total allocation for this year’s Hajj since the commencement of the registration in September 2024.
The director-general urged intending pilgrims in the state to utilise the opportunity and make deposit for the Hajj before the new deadline to benefit from the board’s outstanding services in Hajj operations.
Intending pilgrims were earlier directed by the board to pay N8.4 million deposit pending the official announcement of this year’s Hajj fare by the NAHCON.
NAHCON has allocated 1,518 seats to the state for the 2025 Hajj.
