Governor Ikpeazu suspends chief of staff for reckless spraying of naira notes
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has suspended his chief of staff Anthony Agbazuere from office with immediate effect.
Mr. Agbabueze was filmed spraying new naira notes on controversial preacher Chukwuemeka Odumeje at his office.
Peoples Gazette reported the controversial video on Sunday morning, including widespread calls for the governor to immediately exert disciplinary measures against the top aide.
John Okiyi, Abia information commissioner, said in a statement to Peoples Gazette Sunday afternoon that the suspension will take effect forthwith. He did not elaborate.
