Prominent fashion designer Pierre Cardin is dead

World famous fashion designer Pierre Cardin has died, a family statement said on Tuesday.
Mr. Cardin died at a hospital in Neuilly, just West of Paris. He was 98.
Mr. Cardin was born in Italy in 1922 but moved to France as a child. He later established his own fashion outlet that soon became a global brand.
The designer was also hailed for introducing top quality clothing for people of all classes, and received credits for promoting turtleneck wool for men and bodysuits for women.
