Kaduna APC senatorial aspirant pledges humane laws, social investments

Muhammed Mukaddas, an All Progressives Congress senatorial aspirant, says he will prioritise humane legislation, social investments and infrastructure renewal for Kaduna Zone 1 if elected.
Mr Mukaddas, a former general manager of the Kaduna State Community and Social Development Agency, made the pledge during a familiarisation visit to the APC headquarters in Kaduna.
He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent the zone, attributing his aspiration to “character, competence and capacity”.
Mr Mukaddas described Kaduna Zone 1 as “too important to be left in the care of a visibly incompetent senator”, adding that his agenda would focus on inclusive development.
He said he would work with stakeholders to deliver people-oriented laws and projects, including water, sanitation and hygiene, healthcare and education interventions.
The aspirant also pledged to implement social investment programmes to reduce poverty and collaborate with relevant authorities to upgrade dilapidated road infrastructure across the zone.
Mr Mukaddas commended the APC and the Kaduna government for pledging an enabling environment for free, fair and credible primary and general elections.
He also appreciated supporters who attended the visit from across the state.
Abubakar Abubakar, APC secretary in Kaduna, commended the aspirant for the visit and cautioned party members against defamation and acts capable of creating disunity.
The visit followed the release of the party’s timetable for its primaries.
