Kaduna CP embarks on confidence-building visit to operatives on Kaduna-Abuja expressway

The Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State Command, Mr Audu Ali, has charged personnel deployed on Kaduna-Abuja expressway to imbibe professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
This is contained in a statement on Sunday in Kaduna by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan.
Mr Hassan quoted Mr Ali as saying that the charge was sequel to an earlier directive of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, over the state of security along the Kaduna – Abuja expressway.
He said that the CP embarked on a confidence building and security assessment tour of the highway.
According to Mr Hassan, during the tour, the CP, accompanied by other senior Police officers of the command, traversed the busy expressway.
“Having stopovers at security operatives’ duty posts with special interests given to all flashpoints including, but not limited to Kurmin Kare, Gidan Busa and Akilbu prone crisis areas,” he said.
Mr Hassan stated that Mr Ali interacted with security personnel at their various duty posts, commending their resilience and commitment to providing a near-perfect security for commuters.
Mr Ali also used the opportunity to task the officers to redouble their efforts, be vigilant, civil and eschew forms of misconduct.
“The CP said that they should always be alert and dedicated to duty as this is just the first and beginning of a many unscheduled routine supervisory patrols he will be embarking upon,” Mr Hassan added.
Mr Ali also interfaced with the members of the communities where he solicited their cooperation by assisting the security agencies with credible information on the activities of armed robbers.
The CP rounded off his tour with the deployment of additional personnel to areas discovered to be having insufficient placements to augment the already existing and considerable number on ground.
