Kaduna govt completes 35km Gadar Gayan–Gwaraji–Maraban Kujama asphaltic road

The Kaduna State government says it is poised to deliver quality road infrastructure with the completion of the 35-km asphalt road linking Gadar Gayan,Igabi LGA, via a spur at Gwaraji, Kajuru LGA, to Maraban Kujama, Chikun LGA.
This was disclosed in a statement issued to journalists on Sunday in Kaduna by the managing director of the Kaduna State Roads Agency (KADRA), DAbdullahi Baba-Ahmad.
Mr Baba-Ahmad equally said that the project included a 130-metre bridge across the river Kaduna and traverses through 76 farming communities, connecting three local government areas.
He recalled that the groundbreaking of the road was performed by Governor Uba Sani in January 2024.
He added that the project was executed by Messrs MotherCat Nigeria Limited, a reputable road construction firm globally under the kin supervision of KADRA to ensure due process and delivery of quality work.
According to him, the landmark project is the longest asphalt road constructed in Kaduna State in the last two decades, significantly improving connectivity, facilitating the movement of people, goods, and stimulating economic activity across the benefitting communities.
“The project is part of the rural transformation agenda of Governor Uba Sani’s administration aimed at enhancing the economy and livelihood of communities, thereby giving them a feel of the presence of government,”he said.
