Kaduna: Guber candidate says 12,817 PDP members defected to APC
The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kaduna says it received 12,817 defectors of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the Giwa local government area.
Senator Uba Sani, the APC gubernatorial candidate in Kaduna, disclosed this at a rally to formally receive the defectors, including a former woman affairs and youth leaders commissioner, on Sunday in Giwa.
“In APC, there is no discrimination. Those that joined today are equal in status to those who joined when the party was formed. We are one and a united family,” said Mr Sani. “You should vote for Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the presidential election. Vote for Muhammad Sani Abdullahi as senator representing Kaduna Central and for Jibrin Zubairu as member representing Giwa/Birnin Gwari federal constituency.”
Mr Sani added, “Vote for me during the governorship election, elect Umar Auwal Bijimi and Adamu Mohammed Shika to represent Birnin Gwari West and East at the state House of Assembly, respectively.”
The APC chair in Kaduna, Emmanuel Jekada, commended the PDP defectors for switching loyalty.
