Kano commissioner who resigned to become APC state chairman returns official vehicle to SSG

Mr Doguwa said public service gave him valuable experience and he would continue serving.

A former Kano State Commissioner for Water Resources, Umar Doguwa, has returned his official vehicle after resigning from the state executive council.

Mr Doguwa, now the All Progressives Congress’ Chairman in Kano, handed the vehicle over to Secretary to the State Government, Umar Faruk.

Mr Doguwa resigned as a member of the State Executive Council to become chairman of the APC, Kano State.

He said the vehicle was provided to facilitate his duties and remained in good condition.

He thanked Governor Abba Yusuf for the opportunity to serve.

Mr Doguwa said public service gave him valuable experience and he would continue serving.

He noted that the vehicle remained in good working condition and expressed appreciation to the government for the trust reposed in him while he served in the cabinet.

Receiving the vehicle, the SSG inspected it and commended Mr Doguwa for demonstrating integrity and responsibility by returning government property after leaving office.

He described the action as a good example of accountability in public service.

On behalf of the Kano State Government, the SSG expressed appreciation to Mr Doguwa for his contributions while serving as commissioner for water resources and wished him success in his new role.
