Kano Fire Service saved 20 lives, property worth N46.7 million in October: Official

The Kano State Fire Service says it has saved 20 lives and property worth N46.7 million from 43 fire incidents in October.

This is contained in a statement issued by its spokesperson, Saminu Abdullahi, on Monday in Kano.

Mr Abdullahi said eight persons lost their lives, while property worth N21.6 million was destroyed by fire during the period under review.

“The service responded to 21 rescue calls and 10 false alarms from residents of the state,” he said.

The spokesperson for the service advised the general public to handle fire with care during harmattan.
