Kano Fire Service saved four lives, property worth N7 billion: Official

The Kano State Fire Service says it saved property worth N7 billion from fire incidents in January, its spokesperson, Saminu Abdullahi, said on Monday.
Mr Abdullahi said in a statement that the service rescued four persons from outbreaks during the period under review.
He, however, said five persons lost their lives while property worth N2 billion was destroyed by fire during the period.
“The service responded to nine emergency calls and five false alarms from residents of the state.
“The service pleaded with the public to adopt proper fire safety measures and to reduce the occurrence of fire disasters across the state,” Mr Abdullahi said.
