Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has condoled with the presidential media team and family of Peter Onwubuariri, who died in Kano after a prolonged illness.

Mr Onwubuariri, an Assistant Director, Information and Public Relations at the Presidential Villa, died on Monday evening at 48.

The governor’s condolence message is in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Mustapha Muhammad, on Tuesday in Kano.

He described the deceased as a dedicated public servant who contributed meaningfully to information dissemination and public communication at the Presidential Villa.

He expressed deep sadness over the death, describing it as painful for the family, colleagues and the information and public relations community.

The Kano State governor extended his condolences to the late Onwubuariri’s wife, Catherine Onwubuariri, the immediate family, colleagues and the Federal Government.

He prayed to God to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings, grant him eternal rest and give the family the strength to bear the loss.

Mr Onwubuariri was also an employee of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
