Kano govt. inaugurates committee on review of qualifying exams

The Kano State government has inaugurated a committee to review qualifying examinations in the state, aimed at strengthening the education sector.
This is contained in a statement by Musa Tanko, information officer, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, in Kano on Friday.
The committee was inaugurated by the permanent secretary, Research, Evaluation and Political Affairs Directorate, representing the secretary to the state government (SSG), Umar Ibrahim.
The SSG’s representative stated that the committee’s establishment demonstrated the administration’s commitment to improving the education sector and sustaining the gains made under Governor Abba Yusuf’s leadership.
The committee is tasked with reviewing the existing examination processes, evaluating materials and personnel, and identifying areas for improvement.
It is expected to submit its report within four weeks and is chaired by the special adviser on corporate social responsibility.
The committee’s inauguration is seen as another step towards revitalising education and maintaining the state’s record of excellence in examinations.
