Governor Dikko Radda on Sunday assured international partners that Katsina is one of the most business-friendly states in Nigeria.

The governor made the remark in Katsina during a high-level engagement with European Union ambassadors and diplomats, as part of activities marking the 1447AH/2026 Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

He said his administration was fully committed to building an inclusive government and providing an enabling environment for sustainable development and economic growth.

“Our administration is inclusive and committed to providing an enabling environment for sustainable development and economic growth.

“Katsina state offers one of the most conducive environments for doing business in Nigeria, particularly in investment, partnerships and technical collaboration,” Mr Radda stated.

According to him, through a gradual, community-driven approach, his government is fulfilling its promises while promoting ownership and long-term sustainability of its initiatives.

The diplomats witnessed the colourful durbar, popularly known as Hawan Sarki and Hawan Magajiya in Katsina and Daura Emirates, respectively, where royal horsemen rode in grand procession paying homage to the emirs.

They also toured the ancient Kusugu well in Daura, which dated back approximately 2,005 years, the Dumurkul Model Smart School, among other historic sites that offered the diplomats a rare glimpse into the state’s deep-rooted history and cultural heritage.

Egyptian ambassador Mohamed Fouad commended the governor for preserving the state’s historical heritage.

He also described the cultural night held the previous evening as a remarkable showcase of Katsina’s rich traditions.
