Governor Dikko Radda has officially launched the ₦5.4 billion Mashi township road dualisation project.

The project is a 3-kilometre dual carriageway in Mashi Town, Mashi council area.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony on Tuesday, Mr Radda said the project was part of his administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure and easing transportation for residents in rural communities.

“Since assuming office, our administration has prioritised infrastructural development. We are determined to improve the lives of our people.

“Every project we execute is carefully selected based on its potential to improve the lives of our people and contribute significantly to the prosperity of our state.

“Every local government area will benefit from meaningful development under our administration,” he stated.

He commended Mothercat Nigeria Limited and the Ministry of Works, Housing and Transportation under the leadership of the commissioner, Sani Magaji, for their dedication to the project.

The governor noted that the dual carriageway, when completed, would boost commercial activities, reduce accidents, and give Mashi Town a new look.

Mr Radda urged the contractor, Mothercat Nigeria Limited, to deliver quality work within the stipulated time.

He also called on community members to support the project and protect government infrastructure.

Salisu Yusuf-Majigiri, member of the House of Representatives, Mashi/Dutsi federal constituency, appreciated the governor for the project.

“The people of Dutsi got a new road from Shargalle to Dutsi from the governor. Now the people of Mashi have also been given a three-kilometre road from Government Technical College, Mashi, to Government Pilot Day Secondary School, Mashi,” Mr Majigiri said.
