Katsina: Police nab seven men for raping girls

The police have apprehended seven men for raping four girls in Kaita LGA, Katsina.
The police spokesperson, Abubakar Aliyu, said in a statement on Tuesday in Katsina that the suspects were apprehended by the operatives attached to Kaita Divisional Headquarters.
The suspects are Salisu Ibrahim, Sabiu Abdulkarim, Nuhu Halliru, Rabe Malam, Hamza Abdullahi, Iliyasu Ibrahim, and Idris Abdullahi, all in their 40s, and residents of Kaita LGA.
The officer revealed that following the receipt of a report on their nefarious activities, the police swung into action and succeeded in their arrest.
The suspects, he said, had been luring four girls between the ages of 13 and 14 into the house of one of the suspects, where they had allegedly been having unlawful carnal knowledge of them.
He revealed that the suspects confessed to committing the offence during the investigation.
The police officer further said they would be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
