Kelly Rae wins Big Brother Naija season 9, takes home 100 million naira
In a conclusion to the Big Brother Naija’s “No Loose Guard” season, Kelly Rae emerged as the champion, walking away with a staggering prize of 100 million Naira
The prize includes a 60 million naira cash reward and a brand-new car worth 40 million naira.
The announcement was made by the show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, on Sunday night, marking the end of another exciting chapter of the reality show.
Kelly Rae’s journey was particularly captivating due to his unique strategy.
He entered the competition with his wife, Kassia, under the secretive team of best friends and the duo name “Double Kay.”
The couple managed to keep their marriage hidden from the housemates for a significant portion of the show, with the secret being revealed only on the day Kassia was evicted.
Kelly Rae’s confession shocked the housemates, but it added a layer of intrigue to his game.
Fans of the show quickly coined the phrase, “The money is married,” celebrating the couple’s clever strategy.
The Doubleksy management had made the decision to evict Kassia, believing it would allow Kelly Rae to focus and increase their chances of securing the ultimate prize.
When asked what’s next for him, Kelly Rae hinted that fans will be hearing a lot more from him in the future. “You’ll be hearing my voice more often,” he teased, leaving hints that he’ll continue his singing career.
The first runner-up was Wanni, from the duo “Wanni x Hanndi.
When asked about her future plans at the end of the show, she said “Everything, my twin Handy and I are taking over the world.”
Wanni’s charismatic personality, her arguments in the house and her strong partnership with her twin, Hanndi made them fan favourites.
