Helen Flanagan, the head of Counter Terrorism Policing London leading investigations into Mr Suleiman’s attack, said, “We are determined to get justice for the victims, and now that a person has been charged, I would urge everyone to avoid any further speculation in relation to this case so that justice can run its course.”
Following Wednesday’s attack, the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre raised the UK’s terrorism threat level to “severe” amid a sustained increase in threats from “broader Islamist and extreme right-wing terrorists”.
