Kogi Guber: Youth, students endorse Action Alliance candidate

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NAN) and some youth groups have endorsed the Action Alliance (AA) governorship candidate, Olayinka Braimoh, for the November 11 gubernatorial election in the state.
The group endorsed the AA governorship candidate at a joint news briefing in Lokoja on Tuesday.
The groups include the Nigerian Youth Advocacy for Good Governance Initiative (NYAGGI), Solid Youth Movement, and Central Youth Organisation.
The spokesman for the groups, Tijjani Usman, said Mr Braimoh’s display of unity and unshakable belief in Kogi’s promising future had endeared them to give him the necessary support to fulfil his dream.
Mr Usman, a former national president of the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS), expressed the groups’ belief that Mr Braimoh would succeed Governor Yahaya Bello.
“This endorsement is firmly grounded in Otunba Braimoh’s exceptional contributions within the state, most notably his unwavering commitment to education and Philanthropic gestures to residents of Kogi,” he said.
According to him, Mr Braimoh has made concerted efforts to empower the youth and women, improve students’ welfare, and advance education in the state.
Mr Usman said Mr Braimoh’s vision and mission statements had struck a deep chord with Kogi’s youth and student leaders, eliciting their wholehearted endorsement.
“We urge all eligible youths and students across the state to stand united and exercise their sacred right to cast their votes in favour of the AA candidate, the ‘People’s governor.
“Our collective aspiration is to witness the transformation of Kogi under the astute leadership of Braimoh,” he said.
